Cairo International Airport strengthened its position as one of the most important airports in the African continent by receiving the 2023 Environment and Sustainable Development Award in the category of large airports from the International Council for Airports in the African Region ACI Africa.
It was stated in the speech announcing the award that the members of the Jury Committee of the International Airport Council of the African Region are impressed by the quality of the actions taken by Cairo airport to preserve the environment, and its commitment to sustainable development in addition to the great motivation and dedication to the implementation of the environmental management system and all sustainable development initiatives at Cairo Airport.
And on his part, the engineer Mohamed Saeed Mahrous, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Airports and Aviation Corporation, all employees for their efforts to obtain this award, said that the Corporation and its subsidiaries are committed to taking all measures to preserve the environment and sustainable development as it seeks to rely on new and renewable energy and conserve energy consumption .
