It is reported that the managers are planning to put up a barrier. This practically means that any vehicle that wants to approach the arrivals exit to pick up customers will have to pay.
The tourist operators accuse Fraport of presenting this toll under the cloak of supposedly facilitating the public by trying to put an alleged order to the chaos that is created every summer, but in reality the company itself with this arrangement is contributing greatly to the creation of this chaos.
It should be noted that a price list for parking in the arrivals area has been circulated and a price list for parking in which only vehicles with a business tax ID number will enter. In more detail: Cars under 7 metres will buy a card with 240 “time units” at a cost of €1,200 plus VAT.
Cars over 7 metres will buy a card with 240 “time units” at a cost of €1,600 plus VAT. Buses of 50 passengers will pay 2,000 euro plus VAT for 240 “time units”. For this season, it is possible to buy half the number of time tickets for half the price. Mykonos hoteliers are on alert and plans are already in place to blockade the airport.
